Exploring Nature-Based Solutions: SAN Agrow at ABIM 2023 in Basel

It’s a highlight for us every year: the Annual Biocontrol Industry Meeting! SAN Agrow joined 1800 other experts and stakeholders in Basel in October to discuss nature-based solutions for farming and food security. The event saw delegates and exhibitors from all around the world gather to review the latest research and explore the further development of business opportunities.

The SAN Agrow delegation included experts in research, development, product management and sales. Colleagues Johannes Scharf, Jan Wunderle, Matthias Reismüller, Beatriz Leube, Manuela Gehrke, Valentina Vučković, Reza Omidvar, Paula Lizama Zafra, and Slawomir Doniec were on hand to meet with more than 30 customers. The team was especially glad to discuss issues with partners from Poland to understand the needs and opportunities more closely in that vital market.

Other meetings of significance in Basel included the general assembly of the International Biocontrol Manufacturers Association (IBMA), of which SAN Agrow is a member. Developments in regulatory frameworks and the need for one tailored specifically to biopesticides were frequent topics of discussion.

Beyond established bestsellers such as BOTECTOR® and BLOSSOM PROTECT™, the team discussed products currently in the pipeline and exchanged views on the direction of this exciting market going forward.
