RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
Our international research team is focusing on screening microorganisms. Potential microbial antagonists are isolated from nature and are tested for efficacy with the following 3-step process:
- Laboratory testing
- Greenhouse testing
- Field trials
A formulation and production process is then established for the most effective isolates. Following registration, the new products are ready to be sold. Our experienced team of scientists and product development managers is dedicated to the constant improvement of our products to meet our customer's needs. We continuously work on the expansion of our portfolio in biotechnological plant protection products for the grower’s advantage.
QUALITY CONTROL
SAN Agrow is committed to offering products that are safe for workers, consumers, and the environment. Our products improve nutrient and water uptake and help to maintain natural soil fertility by enhancing the balance of natural microorganisms in the soil. They do not have toxic residues nor contain excess nitrogen or phosphorus, all of which contribute to groundwater contamination. All products are safe for bees and other beneficial insects.
In addition to strict internal quality control measures, SAN Agrow has adopted a more stringent product safety policy. We voluntarily implemented independent laboratory testing to verify that all products are pathogen-free to ensure food safety. Organic nitrogen products are Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) certified.
A constant emphasis on quality assurance and customer service ensures that all products meet customer’s specifications from concept to market.

1982
Westbridge Agricultural Products Inc. was founded in Vista, California (USA) dedicated to developing, manufacturing, and delivering effective plant nutrients, biopesticides, and specialty inputs for both organic and conventional farming.
2004
bio-ferm Biotechnologische Pflanzenschutz und Produktion GmbH was founded as a university spin-off in Tulln (Austria).
2007
bio-ferm was bought by Erber Group a multinational biotech corporation at that time owned by Erich Erber.
2008
Karl-Ritter-von-Ghega innovation award for bio-ferm for THE PRODUCT BLOSSOM PROTECT.
2020
Acquisition of Westbridge by Erber Group.
Sale of Erber Group to Royal DSM. Carve out of Wesbridge and bio-ferm to become part of the newly founded SAN Group, owned by Erich Erber.2021
